What moves
Predators push into water they would not enter at noon. Flats, points, and lit docks all fish better after dark than before.
What they use
Sound and silhouette. A bait that thumps, gurgles, or pushes water outfishes a subtle one. Dark colors silhouette better against a night sky than bright ones do.
Practical discipline
Rig everything before dark. Fish slowly. Keep the boat quiet. Wear the light on your head only when you must, and never point it at the water.
